About Bob Young
Bob Young has 29 years industry experience in aviation electronics (including navigation electronics), two-way radio,
paging, cellular, telecommunications, and satellite controlled voice and data systems. Much of his current work involves
the interfaces of data networks with various communications media, including wireless systems.
Mr. Young has served as a Director in two companies, including a top cellular carrier, where he was
Director of National System Development.
He is currently a member of Gerson Lehrman Group's Council of Advisors - Technology and Telecommunications. In this
role, Mr. Young provides insight to investors in the wireless and wireline telecommunications sectors.
His career has provided opportunities for broad communications experience:

Bob Young is also an experienced trainer and instructor. Currently, in addition to his business practice, he is
Adjunct Professor of Wired and Wireless Technology at Bellevue College in Bellevue, Washington. In this capacity, he
has provided technical training to Sprint/Nextel, Cingular/AT&T Wireless, Verizon Wireless,
T-Mobile, Alltel/Western Wireless, MCI, Qwest, Comcast, and others.
Previously, he was a regular guest lecturer on antenna system design at Perry Technical Institute in Yakima, Washington,
and Training Manager for the Engineering and Operations Department of a cellular company.
